Burial plots in Israel can now be reserved at the Eretz Hachaim Cemetery in Beit Shemesh for Congregation Or Torah members. The cemetery is located 20 minutes from Ben Gurion Airport off Highway 1 which runs between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

As you know, it is a great privilege to be buried in the Holy Land of Israel.  Eretz Hachaim is a privately owned and operated cemetery in the Jerusalem Hills. The picturesque setting, landscaping and meticulous maintenance of the grounds has made Eretz Hachaim a final resting place of choice for thousands of Jews from around the world. 

The current price for each plot is $ 11,000 which includes the burial plot for $9150, a one time cemetery maintenance fee of $1,500 and $350 deposit to Or Torah.  There is an additional fee of $2,350 for the Chevra Kadisha services in Israel which includes transportation from Ben Gurion Airport to the cemetery, Shmira, use of the chapel and an area to sit Shiva should one be flying back to America the same day.  If paid at the time when the plot is purchased, that price is guaranteed not to rise, even if the fee increases in the future.
